This student report was written as part of a four-week MPA workshop. The student authors have worked closed with the regional Office of Emergency Management and conducted interviews emergency management professionals in North America to extract current social media monitoring practices. Professor Ines Mergel served as the faculty advisor and Michael Sprague from the Office of Emergency Management served as the client for this report. The video of the final presentation by the students to the local emergency management professionals is attached below.
